"Holland-Amerika, Rotterdam" A brick shipping terminal lodged between vertical modern towers and a public lawn.
The photograph compresses human, architectural, and civic scales: figures on the lawn become minute markers beneath the detailed brick terminal, which is itself dwarfed by adjacent high-rise towers. In crisp monochrome the façade’s rhythms, clocks and signage are reduced to planes and punctuation, turning provenance into a quiet measure of time and urban layering.
